Credit Card payments with PlugNPay suddenly stopped working. Message in RecTrac, "Unable to communicate with PlugNPay at this time! There is a communication issue..."
Error in WebXpressCurlResponse -log: 10:42:55.406000 == Info: schannel: next InitializeSecurityContext failed: Unknown error (0x80092013) - The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline. 10:42:55.406000 == Info: Closing connection 0 10:42:55.406000 == Info: schannel: shutting down SSL/TLS connection with pay1.plugnpay.com port 443
Solution
There is a communication issue between your transaction server and the PlugNPay server when trying to reach https://pay1.plugnpay.com/payment/pnpremote.cgi. Contact your IT department to troubleshoot the communication issue and verify the gateway status with PlugNPay Support.If you are an on-premise customer, then this is not something Vermont Systems can resolve or troubleshoot. However, we do have some suggestions.
- Check the PlugNPay gateway status page to make certain they are not reporting an issue.
- Have IT review the certificates on the RecTrac server. Check for valid and expired.
- Review firewall logs at time of sale attempt.
