DECLINED- Device has timed out | Device has timed out
PayTrac declined error immediately
Problem
Using PayTrac and as soon as we attempt a sale we get the DECLINED message. It happens so fast it can't actually be attempting to authorize. Using a Lane 3000 that has worked fine in the past.
Solution
In this case, the user was logging into RecTrac and starting a session before VIC was started and connected. The Pin Pad profile was linked at the workstation level in Profile assignments but the RecTrac session did not know what workstation was linked so no profiles on that level were recognized.
To solve, user started VIC and made sure the connection was valid before launching RecTrac.
