In this video, we'll be talking about point of sale sales reports. So these are going to be used for service items, inventory items and tickets. And one easy place to start when running reports is in report output listing. And if we scroll down here to our posts section, we've got the sales reports for each of those three items, inventory service item and tickets.

So these ones here we have our standard VSI reports, which are the sales by date or by item. So it's really dictating what is you're going to be your first column. Do you want to organize these by date or do you want to organize these by item instead? And each version has a detail and a summary output. So depending on how much you want to look at the summary version, I'd say is pretty popular, nice and concise, and gives you all the information that you would need for those different sales.

So this one I was going to run it as an inventory one, but doing these same steps would work for the service item sales or ticket sales options as well. So we have those same options there in each of those three modules. Do our inventory sales summary. So on this report page here, the main options are going to be either using your range to look at all inventory items or picking items out of the list Instead, whichever route is more comfortable for you.

And then the other main option on the right hand side here is going to be our date and our status. So the way I'm running it right now is for today's date. Everything sold, today's date. You guys can take whatever date range it is. If you want to do a monthly, weekly, whatever date range that you need to look at, and then the status, like I said, should be sold.

Those are the main ones that we want to report on. These other ones are not actual true sales canceled or remove from the cart, stuff like that. So the sold status is the one primarily that you would want to run this for. And then down at the bottom, we have our output option here. So we're doing our sales report by item.

Item code is going to be the first column in there and we have the summary option selected there. So everything else we do not need to turn on unless we want to limit our results further. But in this case, I'm running it for all inventory items sold today and we process that air sent to the server and we'll see that pop up when it's done.

There are a number of other options on here, but like I said, if you want to see everything that happened for the date range you entered, those would be the only settings that you want to deal with, what items you're looking at, the date range and the sold status, everything else should remain at the defaults and that gets us this option here.

So we can see all of the different inventory items that we sold, quantity amounts, we charged discounts, anything like that, tax amounts. And then the total amounts there as well.
