The Customer Update program allows you to add and update Customer information for use with the MainTrac module. This program allows you to update information linked to Customers. The Customer Codes, themselves, can be linked to Work Orders, Calls, and etc….
Note: Field names on the screen with red labels* are required by the screen design you are using. Mandatory fields in the default Vermont Systems design are noted where appropriate. Your design and mandatory fields may vary.
Additionally, you can use this program to keep a call log of your conversations and correspondences with your customers. "Calls" in this sense actually refer to any type of communication between you and the customer. The Calls DataGrid at the bottom of the screen provides buttons for Add, Change and Delete.
Click Add to continue to the Customer Log Update screen where you can add a new Call Record.
Highlight an existing record and click Change to continue to the Customer Log Update screen where you can update the information associated with the call.
Highlight/select an existing record and click Delete to delete the record from your database.
From the bottom of the screen…
Click Save to save your changes. You will return to the Equipment Management DataGrid.
Click Cancel to return to the Equipment Management DataGrid without saving your changes.

CustomerNumber (MTCUSTOMER_CustomerNumber)
Note: This number increments by one each time you click Add from the previous screen. So if you start to add a record and then Cancel back to the previous screen the number will still increment by one.
First Name (MTCUSTOMER_FirstName)
Enter this Customer's first name in this field. If the Customer you are adding is a business or organization as opposed to an individual, then enter the portion of the business/organization name that you want to use as the first" name if any.
DeleteLast Name (MTCUSTOMER_LastName)
Enter this Customer's Last name in this field. If the Customer you are adding is a business or organization as opposed to an individual, then enter the portion of the business/organization name that you want to use as the last" name if any.
DeleteStreet Number (MTCUSTOMER_StreetNumber)
Enter the street address information for this Customer. Generally speaking, you should use the physical address in lieu of a PO Box whenever possible since it is likely you will need to perform work at the physical address.
Note: The GIS Settings group allows for entry of GIS Latitude ('Y') and Longitude ('X") coordinates that can be used with Mapping Software to pinpoint the physical location as well.
Street (MTCUSTOMER_Street)

Enter the Geographic Information Services (GIS) 'Y' Coordinate (Latitude) for this record. For locations in North America, this will be a positive value. For Example: 38.889280.

DeleteCalls (MTCustomerUpdate_LinkedCallsDataGrid)
The Calls DataGrid allows you to build a call history log for this Customer. It lists all the calls you have recorded for this Customer. Calls" in this sense actually refer to any type of communication between you and the customer. Scroll up/down to view all the records. Scroll left/right to view the details.
