Problem
We are attempting to make a purchase on WebTrac using the ETS/Elavon credit card interface but an error message is preventing a successful transaction.
Error Message
Unable to Get an ETS SessionID
Solution
The "key" issued by ETS/Elavon for the Merchant ID (MID) does not match what is in the Credit Card profile for the WebTrac user.
You will need to contact ETS to get an updated key for that MID and put that into the RecTrac Credit Card profile.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Profile Assignments.
- Locate the WWW user and highlight the Credit Card Profile linked to that user.
- Click Update.
- Identify the MID in question and note the Client ID in the RecTrac credit card profile
- Contact ETS and request a new/updated "Key" or "Master Key" for that Client ID
- Once ETS sends you the new key, enter it into the "Master Key" in the profile
- Click Save.
Start a new WebTrac session, do a hard refresh of the site with CTRL-F5, and retest the payment. The error message should no longer prevent you from completing a transaction.
