10.3 and 3.1 How to Change/Reset the SMTP User Account
Problem
How do you change or reset the SMTP user account used in RecTrac?
Solution
In RecTrac 10.3 and previous versions, the Email Device allows you to pass a user and password to the email server for authentication.
1 Go to Files > System > Device Maintenance > Printer/Device Maintenance.
2 Sort by Type and double-click the Email Device to edit.
3 Click Next to advance to the SMTP Settings screen.
4 Edit the SMTP Server User and SMTP Server User Password fields.
5 Click Next to save and Exit to return to the main RecTrac screen.
In RecTrac 3.1, this data is stored in the Email Profile.
1 Go to Management > System Management > Profile Management.
2 Filter the datagrid by Profile Type = Email.
3 Highlight the Email profile and click Change.
4 Scroll down until you see the fields SMTP User and SMTP Password. Edit as needed.
5 Click Save.
