In this video, we're going to be going over the activity attendance posting program. So in order to post your class attendance into RecTrac, you're gonna be going into your menu and typing in the activity, attendance posting. And you'll find that in one of the menu items. And this can be done either posting the attendance right at the beginning of class when maybe when you're going through and taking your attendance. Or you can go in after the fact, if you've maybe got it down on a piece of paper or something like that. You can really do it either way. But the first step is always going to be clicking the activity section. So selecting out of this Pick list. This is just saying which activity section are we going to be posting attendance towards? So I'm going to search for a section that I know I want to take attendance for. Obviously, you'd have to have at least one person enrolled in there for to get a list of names in here. So in this section, I can see there's 15 people right here on the right gives me that class count. And then which date? So this is kind of the next important required Field. Which date are we taking attendance for? So did I actually take it on the fifth and I'm coming in here on the seventh, I can backdate my my attendance if that makes sense, or am I coming in on the actual date of the class, which is always going to default to today's date in here? Am I posting it towards that.

So in this example, I'm going to say I'm posting towards today's date, so the current day, and you can tag a location as well, that's an optional Field. But this just brings up your location, facility location Pick list, and you can say it met at a certain location if you want to do that as well. So in here, there's a couple of different ways you can do it, either, you can just kind of go through the list and and select all the people who attended the class. But if there's a quicker way, if you know everyone attended, you can just hit post all. So that's real easy. If you had the full roster showed up, you have post all that visit column is gonna switch to Yes. And that's just saying they were there. If you want to clear this out, and kind of start over, you can hit remove all and that's going to switch the visit column back to No. So that's kind of you know, refreshing and starting back to square one and saying nobody's attended yet.

So I'll just kind of now show off the individual selection. So if you just want to say maybe half the class or something like that was present, then in this case, you wouldn't be clicking post all you'd be clicking posts selected, and it would only do the ones you have highlighted here in blue. So you'll see only those records switched to Yes. And then again, I could just remove like I did before I did a remove all this time, I could just select if I want to start over or something like that, or a messed up one of them. Maybe that's more likely situation and you realize one person wasn't there, you could select them instead of hitting remove all the clear everybody back to No, if you hit Remove Selected, just going to clear that one person back.

So at this point, anybody who you have on yes is posted, that's kind of the final post, as long as when you leave here it's on everybody's on yes, that you want, then it's posted. If you want to now post towards a different date, you'll notice when I switched, for example, maybe we go back to yesterday's, say I skipped two days' worth, I've got just written on a piece of paper, but I need to post them. If I switch my post date to six, six, I'll have to Click this show enrollments to refresh our grid. But now everybody's on No, because I only posted towards the current date. And I didn't go back. So every unique date you pick in here is going to refresh the visit to no because those people haven't been to that class yet. So you'd want to just whatever date you're taking attendance for, it's important to kind of have on there as the post date. So maybe I could go back and do yesterday's date. Maybe everybody was there for that class.

So instead of selecting here, I could just do a post all real quick. Now I'd have the six done. And if I go to the seven that hit show enrollments, I'll have those ones done. We're only about half the class had visited. So it's pretty straightforward program. There are the key pieces are picking the correct section, the correct post date, and then either post, just the ones you hand-selected out of the grid or posting all and then you have if you do make mistakes you do have these either remove selected or remove all buttons. So that's just an overview of how to use the activity attendance posting to keep track of class attendance.
