Welcome to this FastTrac video in which we cover restarting the event timer. To do this, you will need admin access to the RecTrac server admin credentials to the OpenEdge. Explorer, and approximately two minutes of time. Please note that for vs hosted customers these steps are automatically processed by the hosting team this video does not apply. We will cover stopping the VSI event timer service stopping the event app servers, restarting the event app servers and verifying that the VSI timer service has restarted Let's start by opening services on the RecTrac server. The first service because of the parentheses is often the VSI event timer but just find that in your list wherever it happens to be, Click stop with the service not restart the app servers restarting will automatically restart the service and we can minimize this for now. Navigate to your OpenEdge explorer that's defaulted to localhost 9094 And your admin Username and password both defaults to admin. Once logged in, Click on event Demo and event live and then Click the Stop icon. Click yes on the confirmation Window and wait for the event servers to stop. When you Click on them. They should both say not running. Wait approximately 10 seconds, then Click each of those again and Click the Start Button. This will take a little bit longer to do. Once you get a response that the app servers are running again, bring backup services, refresh the Window and verify that the event timer has restarted.
