RecTrac 3.1 Event Timer is not running. Restarting EventLive AppServer did not work.
Problem
Staff were getting message in RecTrac that reports were being sent to server but not printer and getting message 'WARNING!!! The event timer has not run in 517 minutes 54 seconds.'
I stopped the EventLive AppServer and WebSpeed brokers, but they failed to restart. I then restarted the server and EventLive and WebSpeed came back up, but we are still getting message that the Event Timer has not run and reports are not printing. Scheduled Events Emails are not being sent, either.
Solution
If stopping and starting the EventLive AppServer did no resolve the issue, then try this:
1. Open a web browser and launch OpenEdge Explorer.
2. Open the EventLive AppServer and click on 'Configuration.'
3. Click the Agent tab and click Edit.
4. Set the 'Initial number of servers to start' and the 'Minimum Servers' to '1.'
5. Save your changes.
6. Restart the EventLive AppServer. Check to see that emails are being sent and that reports are generating in RecTrac 3.1.
Repeat these steps for the EventDemo AppServer, if needed.
