10.3 and 3.1 AdminService Won't Start After a System Restore
Problem
Clients cannot connect to the database after a system restore on the server. Can you help?
Solution
The system restore had reset the IP address value in the Hosts file to the default Gateway IP.
Once the IP address was changed to the computer's actual IP address, we were able to start the AdminService, query Fathom, reload the client software, restore the original database, and launch RecTrac.
