Facility classes are the first method we have of grouping like facilities to like. These should be broad or general in nature as they'll be used by your staff and patrons to quickly conduct searches, run reports and view schedules. Pools, gyms, rooms, fields are all some of our most common examples. Once established, these can be used as a linking level. Linking levels are points where you can link additional set of items like fees, rules, email features and questions that will apply to all items that share the same linking level value. Imagine that all your fields have the same open and close times it would be very easy to link an open and close time rule to the Field class, which would then automatically apply to all facilities linked to that same Field class. To set up a facility class, you can Type in class in your menu and Click on the facility class management menu item. To add a new class record, Click Add at the bottom and you'll be presented with the core setup Screen for the new class. This is one of the simplest setup screens in RecTrac. Every setup record in RecTrac requires a code along with two description fields. And official coding scheme is not required for all setup items and can often be the same as the description fields. For our example, let's say we have a number of fitness studios that we think should be represented with their own facility classification. In the code and description fields, we can use fitness studio for all three. All we need to do is select save and we've completed that class record setup. Repeat these steps for each facility class you have in your organization. We recommend building this list out as fully as possible before moving on to the next steps.
