In this video, we'll walk through a review of the in-process tab in global sales. The in-process tab is a tool that you can use to help troubleshoot different types of transactions that might be associated with other sessions, either other RecTrac sessions or WebTrac sessions for a given account. And to highlight this functionality, we're going to go through a couple of examples.

I'm going to switch to my global sales tab in this session, and I'm gonna walk through two different types of transactions. I'm going to do enrollment to start, so i’m going to add an enrollment to my cart as my first type of transaction and the second type of transaction. I'm just going to go over to purchase history and I'm going to process, a cancellation for this facility reservation.

And now that I have both of those added my shopping cart, I'm actually going to switch over to a new RecTrac session. So a completely separate session, a separate browser window and a separate session in RecTrac, and I'm going to go ahead and select that same account to highlight this functionality. So right now I'm in a completely separate window and I want to go ahead and just try to redo those same two transactions and say, I want to do that enrollment again, that same person, same activity.

I actually run into the duplicate enrollment message due to it already being in the shopping cart in that other session. So that's the first issue I'm running into and we’ll switch over to purchase history. And I actually don't see that reservation code listed in purchase history again because it's already in the shopping cart for that previous session. So two kind of issues have immediately kind of run into and it's a little difficult to troubleshoot unless you have the process tab activated.

So I switch over to in process, I actually get the info for both of those items. They're both listed here with some general info to help me now troubleshoot the issue. Again, it might be working with the patron on WebTrac to having them either complete their sale or remove it from the shopping cart, or I might work with some other members of RecTrac and have them remove items from their shopping cart.

You also have the ability to, you know, open a session or any selected session right from this in process tab. And that can also help you resolve an issue you might be running into. There are two set up items that we want to review with the in-process tab. Number one is how do you access or get access to a process if you don't already have it?

So we're going to switch over to profile assignments and I'm going to expand my daily processing profile or highlight the one I'm linked to. And I'm just going to update at the bottom and we're going to visit the module an additional additional components option here. And I can see these are the different tabs in global sales of I scroll down in my setup.

I actually have in process already turned on in this selection list. So that's I can activate the in process tab. And the second set up piece is the buttons that for opening and ending selected session. So my example. These are grayed out and I can't actually click on these, but I might want to activate this for some or all users so they can actually resolve issues on their own without having to work maybe with the patron directly or other staff members directly.

So if I go back to profile assignments and expand my permissions profiles, I can highlight the permission profile and I'm linked to I can hit update and we're going to visit the button and miscellaneous. Miscellaneous permissions tab, and we'll filter down to one of those button. So I'll just type in the word end. And I can see there's my global sales button for and selected sessions that's listed here, and it's set as none.

So the button is grayed out because it's set to none. And I'm just going to click on the pencil editor and we'll set that to administrator. So that'll activate the button for me. And with either change, whether it's adding the in-process selection from your daily processing profile or if it's switching the button permissions to administrator either change, you just need to close global sales and re-open it and you'll see that those options are all up appear when you reopen global sales.
