In this video, we're going to be going over how to add a receipt comment code. So to do this, we're going to start out by going to the activity that we want to link the receipt comment code to. And so you can link these comments to receipts across any module. So in this example, I'm going to go over linking it to an activity enrollment. So I want to go to the activity section that I want this particular comment to display on. So in this case, going to activity section management. If you're doing something like a facility beyond a facility management up past Pass Management, so it'd be really used across all modules. So let's say this particular bike lessons section at Burke mountian. And there's something specific about this one, I want to link to my receipt, maybe something you want to make the patron aware of after they purchase or any information that may be helpful for them.

So this is always going to be done under our comments tab. And again, this is module wide is pretty much the same process, there's going to be a comments tab. So you'll have this comment code and comment textfield. So think of comment code, if you already have a, you know, a comment code template built out that you just want to link it. And it allows you to link them a lot quicker if it's going to be the same generic text for multiple sections or multiple facilities. Whereas comment text just allows you to do freeform text. So maybe something that's just specific to one section, for example. So I'm going to just show you how to create a new comment code. So you're going to Click on that Combo box. So any that you already have in here will show so this is a test one I created. So I can either choose to link that one, or I can create a new one, which I'll do by clicking Add. And in this Screen, really just need to give our comment code a code and description and enter the text. So I'm gonna say test, comment.

And you can really give the description whatever you like, if you just want it to be same as the description. One other thing you can do here is do just want the comment to show on receipts for purchase and RecTrac just on WebTrac, or both. So I'm gonna do both, that's all and then on which transaction Type Should this occur for. So most likely, that's going to be a purchase, unless you want to on like a visit receipt or something like that. But usually it's going to be purchase or maybe a waitlist to in this case, I'm just gonna leave it on a purchase. So I'm gonna say this is a test comment, for an activity section where you put in any text you want. If I select that new comment, it's going to link it. And so in this example, I'm using the comment code, not the comment text.

But they really work the same way I can ignore that message for now. So my section is saved. So now I can go ahead and test it by doing an activity enrollment into that section. And making sure it does show on my receipt. So I'm going to head to global sales. I'm just picking a random household just to enroll into. So under activity, which I'm on, I can then select that same exact section. So the Burke mountain one add to the cart. And I'm going into the payment Screen with that item in my cart. Pay for it with cash. Making sure I'm previewing my receipt. So we can look at that. And then we should be able to see the comment code on here when this generates.

So the comment codes are always going to be kind of in the middle of the receipt. You'll see that here in a second. So under activity comments, so here's this is a test comment for an activity section. So that one's pulling in my comment code. If I use that comment text Field instead of code it would put the text in the same area. So it's pretty straightforward and it really works the same way across any item and RecTrac So that's just how you put any custom text you want to show on a receipt
