Welcome to FastTrac. This video covers setting up a bolt pin pad. To do this I will need a bolt pin pad, a power cable and a multi point mono cable all of which should have been provided to you by CardConnect. Note: this is only applicable for customers using our 3.1 software with CardConnect. Part One connecting the device. Once you have unboxed your equipment, you will need to plug the power supply connector into the jack on the MultiPoint interface cable. Once this is done, you'll need to connect the multi point interface cable into the multi port on the back of the bolt device. You will then need to connect the other end of the multi point interface cable to an Ethernet port. This could be a router or modem or a wall jack. Next, plug the power supply into an available power outlet. Part Two confirming connectivity: once you attach the power supply to the bolt device, an initiation process will begin. Once the device establishes itself and IP address it will attempt to begin calling to the bolt service. If the attempt is successful, the bolt device should read bolted. If the attempt is unsuccessful, the bolt device should read unbolted. If the attempt was successful and the device or is bolted please move on to the next video. If the attempt was unsuccessful in the device reads unbolted, please contact CardConnect at the number provided on the Screen now

Welcome to Fast Track. This video covers setting up a bolt pin pen and RecTrac. To do this, you will need your bolt pin pad a power cable the multi point mono cable, your API credentials provided to you from CardConnect. Note this is only applicable for our customers using our 3.1 software with CardConnect. Part two RecTrac setup. Once we have a bolted pinpad, we can begin the setup process and RecTrac we will need a valid credit card Profile setup. The key points in this Profile will be the merchant ID, the Username, the password, and the bolt settings. Here we can Click on the list terminals for this merchant ID Button to see the term IDs that we have associated with this merchant ID. If we Click this Button and nothing appears, it means we have no terminal IDs associated with this merchant ID and we should contact CardConnect To get our terminal IDs linked to this merchant ID. You can contact them at the number provided on the Screen now. Once we have our credit card Profile set up with valid pin pads appearing when we Click that list terminal IDs Button, we will want to move on to creating our pin pad profiles. There are a few key points the integration Type which we will need to set to bolt V2 Ethernet, the Ingenico pin pad model which needs to be set to the model of pin pad which we are setting up, the terminal ID which is looking for a serial number from the bottom of the pin pad. These will have sc in the middle for ISC 250s, or PP in the middle for the IPP 320s. Make note that the letters in the middle of this serial number are case sensitive and need to be put in as uppercase letters. One last point to consider when setting up these bolt pin pads would be the welcome message. A welcome message will help because the welcome message will display when the pin pad is connected to RecTrac. This will be a good verification method to know that your pin pad is set up and recognized by the software. Testing once our pin pad has been set up in RecTrac and we believe it to be working. I always like to make a test purchase in RecTrac using the credit card through the chip reader a credit card through the Swiper and a manual credit card transaction typed into the pin pad. You will then want to refund all three of these transactions

Welcome to Fast Track. This video covers tips, tricks and things to keep note of when setting up a bolt pinpad. The first thing to note would be setting up a manual credit card, pay code and pay code management. If you go to management system management pay code management, we will need to create an additional credit card pay code. This will be our manual credit card Pay Code. The important part of setting up your manual credit card pay code would be in the Additional Settings in the prefix validation Field we will need to Type in manual this manual credit card pay code will allow for credit card numbers to be typed in through the Credit Card pin pad. Next we will be looking at the pin pad Profile making sure the letters in your terminal ID are capitalized. The two letters in the middle of your serial number when setting up your pin pad Profile are case sensitive and will need to be capitalized. If these two letters are not capitalized. Your pin pen will not be recognized and it will not work. As mentioned in video two, adding in a welcome message is a good way to know that your PIN pad is connected to RecTrac. It will display the welcome message once it has been recognized. Lastly, since the bolt reader is not connected directly to the PC, we need to recognize the workstation name and RecTrac. The workstation name can be recognized through using VIC, reverse DNS or forcing the workstation name. A trick that I like to use is forcing the workstation name through the URL. This can be done as it displays on Screen now. As we conclude our tips, tricks and things to note video i will leave a list of resources here at the end. These can be used to troubleshoot or set up your pin pads
