Problem
My camera is not working after installing an SSL certificate.
Solution
To enable the camera after installing an SSL certificate, complete the following two steps: First, ensure that HTML5 is enabled. To check, look in Profile Assignments, "photo profile." Second, ensure that no Google Chrome security features exist that would block communication via HTML5.
Steps For Solution
- From your RecTrac main menu, navigate to Profile Assignments.
- Locate where the "photo" profile is linked and select it.
- Click Update.
- At the bottom of the profile, ensure the toggle "Use HTML5" is activated.
- Go to your browser settings.
- Make sure that nothing is blocking the camera.
- In Chrome, check this through Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Camera.
