Problem
Staff members have come across household records that appear incomplete when they are assisting split households. Is there a way to see if these Households have been merged recently that might explain this?
Solution
The audit log can help show if a household was part of a merge recently. Use the audit log to filter the source program and date. Detail one can be used to filter down the household involved.
Additionally, if a user does not have permission to view the Audit Log this information can be seen in Global Sales by viewing the Household's Notes.
Steps For Solution
To review a Household Merge in the Audit Log:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Audit Log Inquiry.
- Use the Source column DataGrid filter to narrow results by HouseholdMerge.
- Optionally, use the Log Date column DataGrid filter to narrow results to on or before the date the issue was first observed.
- Use the Detail 1 column DataGrid filter set to Contains to narrow results by the Household Number of the household you are investigating.
A merge result should show in the DataGrid along with the user who performed the merge.
To access a Household's Notes in Global Sales:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Global Sales.
- Locate and highlight the Household in question from the DataGrid.
- Click Select.
- Click on the Purchase History tab.
- Click Notes > Household Notes.
If this Household has been included in a merge in the past an entry will be visible in the Note Records DataGrid.
