Problem
I created a question in one of my forms to give people the ability to upload documents for proof of residency but can only upload one. Is it possible to allow them to upload more than one?
Solution
Yes, it is possible to allow patrons the ability to upload more than one document in forms, however, to accomplish this you will need to have one document upload question for each type of file you want a patron to submit.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Form Management.
- Highlight the form you wish to update from the DataGrid.
- Click Change.
- Click Add Field > Question.
- On the Question Text Management pop-up, click Add.
- On the Question Text Update pop-up, set the Question Text to indicate you would like your patrons to upload a specific document. (i.e “Upload driver's license”)
- Keep the Interface Type set to All if you want people in RecTrac and WebTrac to be able to see it.
- Set Field Type to File Upload.
- If you require a file upload to complete this form submission, toggle on Answer Required.
- Specify the Allowed File Extensions.
- Click Save.
- With the newly created question highlighted, click Select.
- Repeat steps 4-12 for any additional necessary documents to submit this form.
Next time a patron goes to complete and submit this form, they will be able to upload multiple documents.
