10.3 and 3.1 Error: Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your browser
Problem
I am getting this error when trying to preview a RecTrac 3.1 receipt or report in my browser:
Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your browser
I can then click OK or Cancel and the report will come up. I have Adobe 8 Standard and my browser is Internet Explorer.
Solution
1 Open Adobe.
2 Go to Edit > Preferences > Internet.
3 Uncheck 'Display PDF in Browser'.
4 Restart browser.
Now when you click on a PDF link in a browsing session, Adobe will launch Adobe Acrobat Pro in a separate window to view the PDF instead of displaying it inside of Internet Explorer.
