Range Express: System.IO.FileNotFoundException error after updating to 3.1.08.xx / Progress 11.7
Problem
Range express error when trying to sell Range Express bucket after updating to Progress 11.7 when going to RecTrac Version 3.1.08.01
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'repins,Version=5.9.9.9, Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its depdencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Solution
You need to copy Repins.dll and Redp.xml that are located in the <x>\ VSI3\Progress\DLC113\bin directory of that server to <x>\ VSI3\Progress\DLC117\bin directory of that server and then do the following:
1. Highlight/select Repins.dll, right-click and select 'Properties.'
2. On the General tab, check to see whether the Unblock button is displayed. If it is, then click on the Unblock button and then click Apply. Exit from Properties.
3. Highlight/select Redp.xml, right-click and Open with either an XML editor or Notepad or WordPad.
4. Confirm the <datapath> file location is correct and valid .
5. Save your changes and exit the editor.
6. Exit Windows Explorer on the Transaction Server and open a new Windows Explorer session. Search the Transaction Server for 'Assemblies.xml.'
7. When found, right-click and Open with either an XML editor or Notepad or WordPad.
8. Review the following and make sure that it appears exactly as follows:
<assembly name='repins, Version=5.9.9.9, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'/>
9. Save changes and exit the editor. Exit Windows Explorer.
