3.1/10.3 Progress 11.7 WebSpeed will not auto start and there are no errors in the broker or server logs for those resources.

Problem
A reboot of the database/transaction server results in IT having to log into OpenEdge explorer and manually start the weblive/clientlive/wsrtlive. Autostart=1 is defined on the WebSpeed sections for the WebSpeed brokers in the ubroker.properties file. No logs are created or appended. WebSpeed just doesn't auto start with the other resources
Error defined in the admsrv.log java.lang.NullPointerException at com.progress.ubroker.tools.UBCommandPlugin.autoStartAll(UBCommandPlugin.java:1083)
Solution
Edit the ubroker.properties file and remove the autostart=1 command from ubroker.AS section and individually define the autostart=1 on all AppServers and WebSpeed brokers directly under the appserviceNameList=XXXXX entry for the applicable sections
Steps For Solution
- Log into OpenEdge Explorer.
- Stop all resources using OpenEdge Explorer.
- Go to Windows Services. Stop Admin Service for OpenEdge 11.7.

Make a copy (Ctrl + C) of the ubroker.properties file and paste (Ctrl + V) it someplace safe.
- RecTrac 3.1 - Go to x:\vsi3\progress\dlc117\properties\.
- RecTrac 10.3zxx - Go to x:\vsi\DLC117\properties\.
- Open the original ubroker.properties file using Notepad.
- Locate the section in the file defined as [UBroker.AS]
- Delete autoStart=1.
- Go to each section within the ubroker.properties file for all applicable AppServers and WebSpeed Brokers and enter autoStart=1 directly under the appserviceNameList=XXXXXX entry.
- Save the changes
- Reboot Server
- After reboot, log into OpenEdge Explorer and confirm all the resources have started properly.
