The Cross Section Update program allows you to Add or Change Section Codes linked to the Street with which you are working. In essence, Cross Sections allow you to "build" your Street from the group up using Street Layer System Codes.
From the bottom of the screen ….
Click Save to save changes. You will return to the previous screen.
Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving changes.

Layer Number (MTSTREETXSECTION_LayerNumber)
Enter your layer value in this field. Generally speaking, you should build your street from the ground up, so the first layer, bedrock for example, would have the Number 1" and the top layer will have the highest number.
Note: Your Department's policy may differ. The key is to remain consistent with your layer numbering scheme between different Street Codes.
Layer Material Code (MTSTREETXSECTION_LayerMaterialCode)
Click the Picklist icon to select the Street Layer Code you use to identify the material used in this layer of the street.
Street Layer Codes are maintained in System Code Management. The Type = Street Layer.
DeleteThickness (MTSTREETXSECTION_Thickness)
Enter a value that represents the measured thickness of this layer.

Expand the Drop-down list to select the unit of measure that corresponds to the value. For Example: 6.00" and "Inches."
