Core
Description/Attribute Name (SAGLColumn_Description)
Enter a description for this column. Examples include, but are not limited to, Credit/Debit, Amount, Date, etc.
DeleteValue (SAGLColumn_ColumnValue)
This field can be used in a number of ways.
- It can also be used if you need a certain letter or set of letters to display in a column all the time. For example, if you entered ACT" in this field then "ACT" would export to file.
- You can use it to display a Custom Field.
- You can put a Database Field in it. Simply select one from the options in the Value group.
- You can use any combination. For example if you enter "ACT[SAGLCode_AccountNumber] then it would export ACT" plus whatever the account number is on the GL posting record.
- You can link fields as well. Basically you can put two or more custom fields in there or a combo of text and custom fields and database fields etc.
Position/Order (SAGLColumn_ColumnPosition)
Enter a numerical value in this field. The value you enter is dependent upon the Output Type of your GL Interface Template.
- Any delimited Output Type (i.e. comma delimited, pipe delimited, etc.) - The value you enter represents the order of the field in your export file. '1' is first; '2' is second; '3' is third; etc.
- Fixed Colum - The number you enter is the starting position on the file. To determine the starting position, add up the number of positions already used and then input the next number. For example, Position 1 is the first field. It is six (6) characters long. The next number you enter would be '7' because 1 + 6 = 7. Position 7 is 10 characters long. The next value would be 17 because 1+6+10 = 17, etc.
Length (Fixed Length Output Only) (SAGLColumn_ColumnLength)
This field is applicable for GL Interface Templates with an Output Type of 'Fixed Column' only.
Enter the number of characters needed for the value in this column. For example the Description is 'Amount.' You want the ability to accommodate up to 99 999.00. You would enter '9' in this field because five 9s+ two 0s + one comma + one decimal = 9.
DeleteRight Justify Fill Character (Fixed Length Output Only) (SAGLColumn_RightJustifyFillCharacter)
This field is applicable for GL Interface Templates with an Output Type of 'Fixed Column' only.
Select your justify option. Generally speaking you'll use this option for your amount fields though other custom uses may exist.
- Not Applicable - Select this option to accept the default which is to left justify records.
- Zero Fill - Remaining spaces will be filled with 0s.
- Space Fill - Remaining spaces will be filled with spaces (i.e. as if pressing the <Space> key numerous times.
Output Record Type (SAGLColumn_OutputRecordType)
Select your output record type option.
- Always Output - Both revenue and offset records can be used for this value.
- Revenue Records - This column will be exported only for records that are considered revenue (GL distribution records created by RecTrac) by the interface.
- Offset Records - This column will be exported only for records that are considered Offset (based on the Offset GL accounts as set on your payment types) records by the interface. If you choose to Exclude offset records during the interface, these records would never be exported.
- Do Not Output - This column will not be included in the output.
Default XML Output Value (SAGLColumn_EmptyRecordOutputValue)
This field is applicable only if you opted to Always Output 1 Row on the previous screen.
Enter text in this field. Whatever text you enter is what will print for this row.
DeleteSummary (SAGLColumn_Summary)
Select whether this value represents a summary value (checked) for this column or a non-summary value (unchecked). This option will output lines based on whether the toggle is on" or "off."
- If none of your columns are marked as summary then your file will have a detail output of every GL record for the date range in RecTrac.
- Instead if you choose the summary option then your GL records will combine based on like values for this column. For example if you need the output to be a summary by four (4) different items such as Fund Account Number Date and Payment Type then you would select the "Summary" option for all four of those columns.
