The GL Template Row Update screen allows you to build your export file. This screen allows you to add Body, Header, and Footer sections to your export file, as needed. It also allows you to add columns to the rows. Columns contain the data and information you want to export. Generally speaking, most GL Interfaces require a 'Body' only. Your interface may vary.

Core
Order (SAGLRow_Order)
Enter your order number for this row. This determines how the row will output. Generally speaking, headers go first in order, then body records.
DeleteDescription/Element Name (SAGLRow_Description)
Enter a description for your row.
THEN
Select the type the Row Type. Generally speaking, the description can match the type. For example, Description = Body" and Row Type = "Body.
Row Type (SAGLRow_GLRowType)
Select your Row Type. Most often, this will be Body." If your export file needs a header or footer then you would select those options as needed.
Note: Additional options exist for each type (Body 2 Body 3 Header Header 2 Header 3 Footer 2 Footer 3 etc.). These are for special circumstances where your export file needs to be broken into separate sections. For example your GL Interface has a header that needs to be broken into two (2) lines. In that event you would use Header and Header 2.
XML Output Grouping (SAGLRow_XMLGroup)
Select your XML Output Grouping for this row. This determines the Parent group that the row is attached to. If it is the first Parent, then your selection here should be Primary Grouping."
This field is applicable for "body" XML records only. The list of options matches the description of the rows you have already entered. It will grow as you add more body levels.
DeleteElement Option (SAGLRow_ElementOption)
Select your Element Option.
-
Normal Element - Insert Attribute - For example,
<element data1=one" data2="two">
</element> -
Normal element - Write-Data-Element - For example
<element>
<data1>one</data1>
<data2>two</data2>
</element> -
Self-closing Tag - For example
<element data1="one" data2="two" />
Full General Ledger Transaction Level Row (SAGLRow_TransactionLevelRow)
Select whether this is a Full General Ledger Detail Row. When creating your template, you need to identify the row(s) that are your full general ledger detail XML rows vs. your summary rows.
Currently what this option does is allow/disallow offset records to be output in the row (depending on your offset setting in the GL interface screen).
DeleteAlways Output At Least 1 Row (SAGLRow_OutputAtLeast1Record)
Select whether you want to Always Output One Row. This determines whether you want to print a row for each receipt. When this option is enabled, your file will contain records for $0 receipts.
For example, your XML might have two receipt" summary levels one for the GL and one for the pay type summary. When someone uses a credit balance to pay for something the "payment" level would not print on your file if this option were disabled. This is because the credit balance payments always total $0. When this option is enabled the record of a credit balance would show because the system will output a row for each receipt.
