Pinpad profiles define parameters for physical credit card hardware at your department.
The CardConnectDevice Pinpad Subtype is designed for use with credit card pinpad hardware for departments using the CardConnect credit card solution for RecTrac Electronic Redirect Interface (ERI) credit card processing.

Making changes to a profile is an Audited Event. Additionally, Linking, Removing, Purging, and Cloning profiles are also Audited Events.

Integration Type (SAProfileDetails_IntegrationType)
Expand the Drop-down list and select the Integration Type you are using to communicate with CardConnect.

Ingenico Pin Pad Model (SAProfileDetails_TerminalModel)
Expand the Drop-down list and select the Ingenico Pin Pad Model that matches your physical hardware.

- Ingenico Link 2500

Note: Ingenico ISMP4 is for use with RecTrac on a mobile device such as a tablet. Click Here to configure the wireless settings on the ISMP4.
Terminal ID (SAProfileDetails_CCTerminalID)
Enter the pin pads' serial number, which is located on the sticker on the back of the unit, in this field. This field is case-sensitive. The information entered here is used to identify where the transaction originated.
DeleteWelcome Message (SAProfileDetails_WelcomeMessage)
Enter the Welcome Message that you want the PinPad to display, if any. This field will accept up to 18 alpha-numeric characters only. This field does not accept special characters.
For Example: Welcome to VSI
Prompt for Zip Code (SAProfileDetails_PromptZipCode)
Expand the Drop-down list and select when/whether you wish to prompt for a Zip Code during a sale.
- Do Not Prompt - The pin pad will never prompt for a zip code.
- AVS Only - The pinpad will prompt for a zip code if you are using the Address Verification System to check the zip code provided by the user with zip code on file at the credit card company.
- Manual Entry Sale - The pin pad will prompt for a zip code when performing a credit card sale and manually keying in the credit card number and expiration date.
- Swipe Sale - The pin pad will prompt for a zip code when performing a credit card sale and having the credit card number and expiration date input via card swipe. Manual entry and chip entry are NOT considered swipes."
- All - The pin pad will always prompt for a zip code.
Prompt for CVV on Manual Entry (SAProfileDetails_CVVPrompt)
Select this option to have the pin pad prompt for CVV entry (the three-digit number on the back of the credit card) whenever a processing a sale and manually keying in the credit card number and expiration date..
De-select this option to skip CVV entry under these conditions.
DeletePrompt To Confirm the Amount (SAProfileDetails_PromptForAmtConfirmation)
Select this option to make the card holder confirm the amount being paid.
Deselect this option to skip the payment confirmation check.
DeleteCardConnect INI File (SAProfileDetails_CardConnectIniFile)
This field is applicable only if you are using CardConnect with CCPanPad (USB) integration.
Click the Windows Explorer icon and browse to the location where your CardConnect .ini file. The .ini file contains configuration settings for your Department's devices. VIC uses this file to initialize the pin pad during each sale.
Regardless of where you pull the file from the text in the field will display \Export\cs.ini. This is hardcoded and upon clicking Save the file will be viewable in the Document Center • Export Files
DeleteShared Pin Pad? (SAProfileDetails_SharedPinPad)
This field is applicable only if you are using CardConnect with Bolt V2 (Ethernet) integration.
Select this option if this Pinpad will be servicing more than one (1) workstation. In other words if two (2) or more computers are using this Pinpad then enable this option.
Leave this option de-selected if this Pinpad will service one (1) workstation only.
Note: When sharing pin pads only one (1) transaction can connect to the Pinpad at a time so if two (or more) users are trying to process sales at the same time then only one transaction can connect.
Enable Beep (SAProfileDetails_BoltEnableBeep)
This field is applicable only if you are using CardConnect with Bolt V2 (Ethernet) integration.
Select this option to have the Pinpad emit a "Beep" when prompting for the card to be swiped or inserted or manually entered. The Pinpad will also emit a "Beep" when prompting to have an inserted card removed.
De-select this option to skip the "Beep" prompts.
