Pinpad profiles define pause/wait and other parameters for physical credit card hardware at your department.
The MagTek IPAD Subtype is designed for use with credit card pinpad hardware for departments using the PlugNPay credit card solution for RecTrac Electronic Redirect Interface (ERI) credit card processing.

Swipe Pause (SAProfileDetails_SwipePause)
Enter a numerical value in this field. The number entered represents the number of the seconds the Pinpad will pause (i.e. wait) for a card swipe before timing out.
VSI recommends a value at/near '15.'
DeleteManual Entry Pause (SAProfileDetails_ManualEntryPause)
Enter a numerical value in this field. The number entered represents the number of seconds the pinpad will pause (i.e. wait) for manual input of a credit card number before timing out.
VSI recommends a value at/around '60.'
DeleteConfirmation Pause (SAProfileDetails_ConfirmationPause)
Enter a numerical value in this field. The number entered represents the number of seconds the pinpad will pause (i.e. wait) for confirmation that amount being displayed/charged is accurate.
VSI recommends a value at/around '10.'
DeleteDisplay Message Pause (SAProfileDetails_DisplayMessagePause)
Enter a numerical value in this field. The number entered represents the number of seconds the pinpad will pause (i.e. wait) while displaying various messages, such as Approved, Declined and etc… on the LCD.
VSI recommends a value at/around '3.'
DeleteBuzzer Tone (SAProfileDetails_BuzzerTone)
Enter a numerical value (0-2) in this field. The number entered determines the buzzer tone for this MagTek IPAD:
- 0 - No tone.
- 1 - A single long tone.
- 2 - Two short tones in quick succession.
Manual Entry Option (SAProfileDetails_ManualEntryOption)
Click the Drop-down list to select your Manual Entry Option. The selection you make here determines the card information you must collect when entering Credit Cards manually at the time of a sale.
- Acct# - Expiration Date - CVV
- Acct# - Expiration Date
Prompt for Zip Code (SAProfileDetails_PromptAVSZipCode)
Accept the default entry (Do Not Prompt)or expand the Drop-down list to select your Zip Code prompt option. When completing a sale using the MagTek iPad, you can capture Zip Code information, if desired, using the option selected here.
- Do Not Prompt - You will not collect Zip Code information.
- AVS Only - This option provides the Zip Code prompt when you are linking a credit card for Auto Debit transactions that will occur in the future, such as Installment Billing, Open Tickets, Golf Tee Times, Tee Time No-Shows, etc… Selecting tihs option will NOT prompt for a zip code with retail type sales.
- Sale Only - This option provides the Zip Code prompt ONLY during a retail type sale, such as a POS sale, a program registration, pass purchase, etc…. Selecting this option will NOT result in a prompt when linking a card for future Auto Debit transactions.
- Both - This option provides the Zip Code prompt for both settings described above.
