3.1 How the Service Items and Inventory SubTotal Range group on Statements works
Problem
The Statement/Invoice program in RecTrac 3.1 contains a group for Service Items and Inventory SubTotal Ranges. What does it do?
Solution
The Service Items and Inventory SubTotal Ranges group on the Statements program allows you the option to group and subtotal like Inventory and/or Service Items together on the output, if desired. This option is available for POS Service Items and POS Inventory Items only and is only available if your Statement/Invoice/Childcare Statement Sort Option is Module.
For Example: You sell five (5) different types of soft drinks (Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, and Root Beer). When preparing Statements, you want to list all the soft drinks together on the Statement instead of having them sorted by their Inventory Code. To do this you would:
1. Opt to sort by Module.
2. Enter a Label/Name for your Group, such as 'Soft Drinks.'
3. Select Inventory as your SubTotal Group Option.
4. Enter the Range of Inventory Codes that encompass your soft drinks.
5. Run the Statements program. The output will group all qualifying transactions by their module (AR, PM, etc). The output will also include a group separate from 'other inventory' that includes Soft Drinks sales only.
This option was introduced in RecTrac 3.1.05.02.
