3.1 Issue with Background Visit Check-In for Always On Workstation

Problem
Our kiosk screen displays the live site and it stays on 24/7. Users are able to scan using the RFID reader and are noticing their Xref come in the text box on the live site. However, the user's information (name, employee number, and scan in status) does not populate on the screen after scanning their ID. (This behavior occurs after the screen has been up overnight.)
Solution
The issue stems from the Visit Date field. That date value is updated only when entering the visit screen. Upon midnight, the visit DataGrid will not populate visits on the screen, since it will only show visits for the date when entering the program. The reporting also presents an issue, as the visits are recorded for prior day, or whichever date the visit screen was launched. Using screen design as a workaround, remove the Visit Date from the screen.
Steps For Solution
- Navigate to Processing Screen Management.
- Locate VisitProcessingArea1 for the design code that is active for your user or intended user group
- Highlight VisitProcessingArea1 and click Change.
- Expand fields on screen and locate Visit Date (GlobalSalesArea_VisitDate) (Fillin)
- To remove this field, Click, drag, and drop this field within the middle column (Fields On Screen) to the left column (Available Fields).
- Click Done to finish.
