Importing Existing Photo File Images into RecTrac 3.1 for use on Passes
Problem
Does RecTrac allow the uploading of an existing graphics file (.jpg, .png, etc.) for a membership pass card picture instead of only allowing photos that are taken through a live camera while logged into RecTrac? We allow members to supply their own photos for their passes and would like a way to get them into RecTrac.
Solution
Yes. The Photo Import Utility provides this functionality.
The Photo Import Utility allows you to import existing member photos into your RecTrac database and associate them with their proper family members. The following caveats apply:
- Photo file images MUST be .jpg or .JPEG file types
- Photo file images can reside anywhere on your network. The utility imports them directly into the RecTrac database.
- The import can work from a properly formatted semicolon-delimited (;) text file or it can import images directly from a Windows directory/folder.
- Depending on your Conversion Option, photos can be imported using their existing file names (Input from Text File) or they can be renamed in advanced and imported directly (Input from Folder with Images).
To Run the Photo Import Utility
1. Go to Management Ribbon System Management Misc Management Photo Import Utility.
2. Select your Match Option. Refer to the online Help for definitions.
3. Select your Conversion Option. Refer to the online Help for definitions.
4. Determine whether you wish to override existing images.
5. Enter your file path(s) as needed. File paths must be relative to your Database Event AppServer.
6. Click Process.
