3.1 Passes not swiping. Always comes back with 'Invalid Access Ticket' message
Problem
In Visit Processing, we cannot get certain member's passes to swipe. They always come back with a message saying we've swiped an invalid Access Ticket. We don't even use Access Tickets. What's going on?
Solution
Ensure the first character of barcode is not the letter 'A.' The letter 'A' triggers the code to check for an Access Ticket, and if no Access Ticket is found, you will get the message noted above.
This problem is resolved in RecTrac 3.1.05.11 and greater, where the code has been changed to perform a second check. In the event a pass barcode starts with the letter 'A,' the system will look for Access Tickets, and if no Access Ticket is found, it will then check for a Pass or ID beginning with 'A.'
If you are experiencing this scenario, VSI advises you to update to RecTrac 3.1.05.11 or greater.
