In 3.1 Visit Processing, the [Enter] Key no longer runs a Pass Number Lookup
Problem
In Visit Processing, the [Enter] Key no longer runs a Pass Number Lookup. We had/have a Custom Screen Desgin for this, and it is no longer working.
Solution
If you have a set up a Custom Screen for Visit Processing and the <Enter> key does not process a Pass Number Lookup, then:
1. Close Visit Processing.
2. Go to your Visit profile and ensure the Process Type is set to 'Attended.' No other option will work. Make changes as necessary. Save and exit.
3. Go to Processing Screen Management and click Clear All Cache. Click Clear Cache regardless of whether you made changes to your Visit profile in Step 2 above.
4. Re-launch Visit Processing, key in a Pass Number and press the <Enter> key.
5. If the problem persists, contact Vermont Systems Support.
Notes: For this functionality to work, you MUST run Visit Processing in 'Attended' mode. No other mode will work. (In other words setting the <Enter> key to use Pass Number by default will NOT work if the Process Type field on your Visit profile is set to any of the following: 'Both - Default Attended,' 'Both - Default UnAttended,' or 'UnAttended.')
When running Visit Processing in a mode other than 'Attended' mode, the <Enter> key runs a RecTrac Family Member ID Lookup, so any keystrokes you enter will likely result in an invalid swipe. Visit Processing Mode is determined by your setting in the Process Type field on your Visit profile.
