How to Update Visit Counts for Visits processed in the past - RecTrac 3.1
Problem
One of our water parks forgot to put in several groups that visited the park last week. We have a button that brings them in as a group. In 10.3, we were able to update the date if this happened to reflect the day they actually were admitted to the park. In 3.1, how would I bring the group in and have the date reflect the actual date that they entered the park so their visit numbers were accurate for that day?
Solution
In order to back date visits, you will need to make the Visit Date field active on your Visit Processing screen. In RecTrac 3.1, whether Visit Date appears is controlled by the Display Visit Date Field toggle option on the Visit Profile. Once you enable that, you will be able to process visits for dates in the past. Basic steps appear below.
1. In RecTrac, go to Profile Assignments (Management Ribbon System Management User/Menu/Profile Management group Profile Assignments, in the Standard VSI Design).
2. Highlight/select your Visit Processing profile and click Update.
3. Enable the Display Visit Date Field toggle option, which is located on the core/main group.
4. Save your changes and exit back to the main menu.
5. Launch Visit Processing. You should see a Visit Date field.
6. Set the date as needed and process your Visits. Be aware that back-dated visits will not display in the Visits DataGrid. The Visits DataGrid is hardcoded to display visits for the current date only.
7. Set the Visit Date back to 'today' when you are done.
8. (Optional) Return to your Visit Processing profile and disable the Display Visit Date Field toggle option to remove the Visit Date field from Visit Processing.
