The Question and Answer Inquiry program searches question history for answer text, provided you are tracking answer history for the Questions.
Note: To track Answer History, ensure the Include in Answers from History option is enabled on your Question, and ensure you have the proper Modules selected to record Answer history on your Daily Processing profile • Search Answers from History group.
To Run the Question and Answer Inquiry
- Click the Picklist icon and select the Question you wish to querey. The question ID number displays. To view the question text, mouse-hover over the Picklist icon and the ToolTip will appear.
- Accept the defualt entry in the Answer Match Option field or expand the Drop-down list to make another selection.
- Enter all or part of the Answer Text for which you wish to search.
- Click Search. The DataGrid will populate with records that match your search options.
Note: This is an Inquiry program so no changes can be made. You can export the DataGrid to .csv file, if desired, using the latent DataGrid Optons • Export Comma Delimited comnands, if desired.
To exit this program, click 'X' on the title bar. You will be returned to the Main Menu or the previous program.
QAInquiry_Tab1
Question (QAInquiry_QuestionLinkID)
Click the Picklist icon and select the Question you wish to querey. This is a Mandatory field for the default VSI RecTrac Design. Your Design and setup may vary.
The Question ID displays in this field. To view the question text mouse-hover over the Picklist icon and the ToolTip will appear.
DeleteAnswer Match Option (QAInquiry_AnswerMatchOption)
Accept the default entry (Equals) or expand the Drop-down list to make another selection.
- Equals - The Question Answer must exactly match the data in the Answer Text field. For Example: The data entered here is Blue." In order for an answer to appear in the DataGrid the patron's answer must be "Blue." Answers such as "Blu Bleue Blues etc… will not display.
- Begins With -The Question Answer must begin with exactly the same data in the Answer Text field. For Example: The data entered here is Bl." In order for an answer to appear in the DataGrid the patron's answer must begin with "Bl." Answers such as "Black Blue Blight etc… will display; answers, such as Beige Brick and Bowman" will not.
- Contains -The Question Answer must contain the data in the Answer Text field as it is entered. For Example: The data entered here is "ue" In order for an answer to appear in the data grid the patron's answer must include "ue" in order. Answers such as "Blue Hue Glue etc… will display; answers, such as Ruler Rouge" and "Euchre" will not.

Enter all or part of the Answer Text for which you wish to search. This is a Mandatory field for the default VSI RecTrac Design. Your Design and setup may vary.

Click Search to run your query.

Click Search.
