End of Life Summary
Vermont Systems constantly strives to improve our products and services, in recent years this has included a focus on payment functionality. Historically we worked with many credit card gateways to enable you to accept payments. From Service Fees to Apple Pay, P2PE to PCI, eCheck to EMV, the world of digital payments is constantly changing. Over the past decade we have reduced the number of supported payment integrations to only include those that keep pace with payment technologies, security/compliance standards, and quality expectations.
To provide a best-in-class payments experience we launched our fully integrated PayTrac solution. Decades of experience showed us that limiting the third parties involved helped to ensure a high quality, reliable, and future-proof solution. PayTrac includes the latest hardware, support for modern payment methods (EMV/chip, Apple Pay, Google Pay, NFC, etc.), robust security, fast reliable payments, and tools within RecTrac to reconcile settlements and fees. Since launching PayTrac in 2021, we constantly reevaluate existing integrations to ensure they meet your evolving needs.
As a result of this ongoing evaluation, we have made the decision to retire our existing Plug'n Pay integration. Plug'n Pay has been a valued partner for many years, but we have determined this is a necessary step to provide you modern payment solutions, improved reconciliation capabilities, support for current payment technologies, and more robust infrastructure to protect you from outages and fraudulent activity. We will be deprecating our Plug'n Pay gateway integration on the timeline outlined below which was first shared with clients in a VS Connect email on April 4, 2023. We understand this is a significant change and are providing sufficient time to plan accordingly, we will work with you to review your options and ensure a smooth transition that is not disruptive to your operations.
If you'd like to discuss your option in more detail and understand how we can help provide a better payments experience, please don't hesitate to reach out.
