The Military Daily Action Report (DAR) is a Fixed Report used by military customers as their end-of-shift and/or end-of-day balancing report. This program works in conjunction with the Shift Close-Out program and thus has NO cash balancing functionality because that step is performed in the Shift Close-Out procedure. This Report should be used by customers who wish to segregate the report from the close-out procedure. It combines some aspects of the cash journal and some aspects of the g/l report.
The report lists Cost Center, Cost Center Account Number, Description, G/L Code, G/L Account Number, Debit Or Credit, Item Count and Total Amount of all financial activity in RecTrac for the ranges selected. At the end of the report, a summary breakdown of debits and credits by payment code appears.
When running this report you have the option to run it for whatever Batch(es) you select from the DataGrid, OR you can use the Military DAR Filters.
Note: When opting to select records from the DataGrid, the system hides all fields in the Military DAR Filters group by design. When you run the DAR for EOS Batches, the report lists all activity for the Batch(es) selected. Additional filters are not required.
From the bottom of the screen….
Click Default Settings to reset the screen parameters. Vermont Systems recommends clicking Default Settings whenever a program or report doesn't produce the expected results. Resetting a program to its default settings removes any unseen spaces and/or bad data in the fields.

Use Fixed Times? (MilitaryDARReport_FixedTimes)
This option is applicable only when you have a date range that spans more than one (1) day.
Select this option to make the Begin and End times apply to each day individually.
De-select this option to have the report run "around the clock" from the beginning time on the beginning day through the ending time on the ending day.
For Example: you select the date range 04/21/20xx to 04/25/20xx (Monday - Friday) and a time range of 06:00am to 02:00pm (the Day shift). With this option ENABLED the report will display only those transactions that took place during the Day shift on each day in your date range; so a transaction that took place at 03:00pm on 04/24/20xx would NOT be included on the report output because it did not take place during the Day shift between 06:00am and 02:00pm
With this option DE-SELECTED the report will display every transactions that took place starting at 06:00am on 04/22 and running through 02:00pm on 04/26 so a transaction that took place at 03:00 pm on 04/24/20xx WOULD be included in the report output.
