10.3 and 3.1 Patrons Receiving 'Online Payments are not Available at this Time' Messages in WebTrac
Problem
When patrons visit the payment screen on WebTrac, they get a message that says, 'Online payments are not available at this time. Please contact our office.' What's causing this and how do we get our payment screen back?
Solution
There are a multiple reasons for this message and multiple solutions. Should users report online payments are not available, here is a short list of troubleshooting options:
1 Ensure the WWW user is linked to a valid Credit Card device.
2 Ensure the WWW user is linked to a valid Payment device and ensure the proper Payment Codes populate the Allowed Pay Codes field on the Module Details screen.
3 Ensure your Credit Card Payment Codes have valid Prefixes listed in the Prefix Validation field of Payment Code Maintenance (i.e. 4 for VISA, 5 for Master Card, etc...).
4 Trim your WebSpeed brokers. This can be done as a stand alone troubleshooting method. It must be done, as well, should you make any changes to devices or Payment Codes to ensure your changes take effect.
5 Contact Vermont Systems Support should the problem persist.
