3.1 How to Require Full Payment for Fees in WebTrac
Problem
We have discovered that a couple of our activities online are allowing people to not pay the full amount at registration and leave a balance. Where can I find the 'require full payment' button/tab for these activities to ensure this cannot happen?
Solution
This setting is maintained in Advanced Fees on the Fee, itself. Find the Fee in question, click Advanced Fee Change and expand the Miscellaneous Settings group. There is a Minimum Payment Option field. To require full payment for WebTrac transactions only, set this field to Percent - WebTrac Only and enter 100.00 in the Minimum Payment Amount field. Save your changes.
When set up as described above, patrons shopping on WebTrac will be required to pay 100% of the fee while patrons shopping in-house (i.e. purchasing the same item through RecTrac Global Sales) can pay any amount of the fee.
If you require full payment at the time of purchase regardless of whether WebTrac or RecTrac is being used, select Percent - All Interfaces as your Minimum Payment Option.
Note: The Override Minimum Amount Due For field the your Payment profile Core Settings 2 group allows you to bypass this setting. At a minimum, this field should be left blank for the Payment profile linked to your WebTrac User ID. If you required full payment at the time of purchase in RecTrac as well, then ensure this field is blank for all of your Payment profiles.
Refer the 3.1 p on the Fee Update screen. Use the 'i' or '?' buttons for field descriptions and other information as needed on both the Fee Update and Payment profile as needed.
