Problem
We need help changing the Web language when someone wants to create an account with us. We don’t allow anyone to create an account online so I want to change the verbiage.
Solution
You can replace the “Don't have an account?” link with a WebTrac Layout Comment Code and set your WebTrac Parameters Profile to prevent online household creation.
Steps For Solution
To remove the "Don't have an account?" link from the Login Screen:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to WebTrac Management Screen Management.
- From the DataGrid, highlight the Login screen.
- Click Change.
- Expand the fields on the screen until you locate Don't have an account? Sign Up Now(WebLogin_NewAccount)(Link) and then highlight it.
- Drap and drop the field off the Fields on Screen to the Available Fields column until it turns green to remove it.
- Click Save.
To add a Webtrac Layout Comment Code to the Login Screen:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Comment Management.
- Click Add.
- Give your new comment a Comment Code.
- Set Record Type to WebTrac Layout.
- Set Layout Information to either Top or Botton based on your preference.
- Set Layout Program to Login.html.
- Enter your message into the Comment Text field
- For Example: “Don't have an account? Call the main office at 555-5555.”
- Note: You can use HTML formatting to draw attention to this message.
- Click Save.
To update the WebTrac Parameters profile to disallow online account creation:
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Profile Assignments.
- Locate the WWW user.
- Highlight the WebTrac Parameters profile linked to this user.
- Click Update.
- Expand the New/Forgotten Settings group.
- Set the New Household Option to Not Allowed.
- Click Save.
Now the next time a patron views the login screen, the "Don't have an account?" link will no longer be visible and instead will be replaced with the message text entered in your Webtrac Layout Comment Code.
