Problem
What is the FMID in a WebTrac URL and where is it located in RecTrac?
Solution
The FMID, also known as an ID number, uniquely identifies specific items in RecTrac. The FMID can be seen on WebTrac when hovering over an Activity, Facility, etc. in the bottom left corner of the browser.
Note:
Each FMID / ID is unique to that record. If a record is cloned, it will create a new FMID / ID for the newly created record code.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to DB Inquiry.
- Set Select Table To View, to either the ARSection table for Activities or the FRFacility table.
- In the Query field, use the following text:
- RecordStatus="Active" AND Year="YYYY"
- Additional parameters that may be useful to narrow down the query results:
- BeginDate="MM/DD/YYYY"
- ActivityCode="XXXXXX"
- Click View.
- From the results DataGrid, locate the ID column; It's about halfway next to the Permissions column.
The number listed in the ID column for a record is its FMID number that can be utilized in the WebTrac URL.
