10.3 and 3.1 Subscribed to VSIConnect But Never Receive Emails
Problem
I signed up for VSIConnect but I never seem to get any emails? How often are they sent out?
Solution
VSIConnect is a daily (M-F) email digest containing information such as critical bugs, bug fixes, product release info and new Knowledge Base entries.
When you signed up for VSIConnect you would have needed to pick the specific products, modules and topics that you wanted to hear about. The emails are tailored to these settings, so there are 3 possibilities why you are not getting emails.
1) You signed up with your email address, but didn't check any product or module boxes on the VSIConnect Settings screen.
2) You signed up but only picked a few boxes. If, for example, you only checked the Critical Alert box for the CYMS product, you would not receive emails about any other product, nor would you be alerted about CYMS Knowledge Base entries, Non-Critical alerts, etc.
3) You signed up to receive alerts for the RecTrac product, but no RecTrac modules. In this case, you would only receive alerts about general RecTrac issues, but no module-specific issues. If an issue is module-specific, it goes out only to customers who have checked that module's box. Only if an issue is non-module-specific does it get sent to those who checked the RecTrac product box.
Here's how you can modify your VSIConnect settings:
1 Login to the VSI website (http://www.vermontsystems.com).
2 Under 'Account Settings', click on the 'VSIConnect Settings' button.
3 Check the boxes for the products and modules that you want to be informed about.
4 Enter your current password (at the top, labeled in red).
5 Scroll down and click the Update button to save your settings.
