Let's create a registration date rule set that we can then use at one of our higher levels. So from the menu, I'm going to Type in set and Click on Set management. And we have quite a few different sets in here that kind of carried over from 10.3. So these are just groups of either questions, fees or rules. In our case, if I create a brand new one, and we'll just call it our registration date set. And the record Type, it's going to be for rules. And now I can add in the corresponding criteria for this rule, or rule with the criteria. So the first rule we'll add in will be our registration begins rule. So we will be allowing them to purchase based on what and typically this would be kind of a fixed transaction, date, or a date and time. So if you only wanted to open up on this date, at 8am, then it would be the date time combo. So registration, allowing them to purchase and you could choose the operator here, but on or after registration was opening may 1, at 8am. To kind of typical kind of similar to what you would have had in 10.3, as far as just kind of using a fixed date. So that's our first rule is here, when we're going to allow registration to begin using that one criteria. So I'll save this, my first rule record is created within the set, I'm going to go ahead and add another one. So that covers the front end of registration. Now, you can only register on or after that date. Now it's a slightly trickier part, which is cutting off the registration. So I could do registration ends. So we're allowing them to purchase. And there's different ways we could handle this, we could do another Transaction Date, Time option. But again, that would be kind of fixed. And usually when it comes to cutting off registrations, it's more of a dynamic option. The typical one we try to make work is our it's called our days from criteria. So if I choose Days from an in the criteria list, and hit add new criteria this gives me another operator so I can register or I'm allowing them to purchase. And this is where it may vary depending on the program. But if you wanted to cut them all off all registration off if it was let's just say less than three days before the program began. So you have all your different program begin dates, right, they all start at different times. And we're now saying that they can only purchase this program if it's less than three days before it starts cutting off all program registrations three days prior to the weekend date. So if that were to work, and that was a rule you could commit to these would really be the two line items we would need to know when we're starting out which is using the fixed date option. Everybody starts as of this date. And we have the dynamic cut offs based off of X amount of days before an item begins. To give you a little bit of variation on this, we could add another criteria of current item. So let's just say by adding current item this is now a rule that we want to apply to everything other than aquatics, so if I say for every program that's aquatics I don't want to use this parameter I want to use maybe another parameter. So we have the ability to either include like this set up to this could be a rule and specifically for aquatics this three day cut off or I can say this applies to everything that is not aquatic so now excluding aquatics and we can even adjust our description and I would put in a rule group So now that is everything except aquatics. And if I was to clone this and make another option, we can now make one specific to aquatics. So now this is registration and specifically for aquatics so allowing them to purchase. So let's just say aquatics might go through the end of the program. So I can now say, maybe there's a cut off based off of the end date, it is less than three days before the end date to three days before the end of the program, rather than the beginning of the program. So they allow it more or less through the through the program. And I can switch my other criteria, my current item criteria to now include aquatic so now this parameter only applies to aquatics. And the rule group, the way that works, you typically there's very few scenarios where you would really need it, but this would be one of them. You're now kind of tying these two together. So if you're signing up for aquatics, then this rule apply. If you're signing up for the other program, then the other approval rule applies. So these two kind of work together. So if you're going to do a registration with this rule set, then you have to meet the registration begin dates, because that's kind of independent doesn't have a rule group linked, then you have to meet one of these two. So you're either signing up for aquatics or you're signing up for some other program. And you could Build out as many different levels of these for the different parameters you need. And then that gives you the benefit of doing the linking step next, which we'll show you in the next video.
