In this video, we will review the process for setting up rules for Facility Reservation in RecTrac. And highlight this example, we're going to go to set management, it's already actually have that open here up top. And I already have it narrowed down to the four common rules that we want to highlight in this video. The first one being age rule. So I'm gonna go ahead and double Click on that set and open up the rule and within that set. So you can give any rule a description that will be available for your staff and folks online to be able to see your description of the rule. In this case, we're allowing them to purchase and then in our criteria box in the bottom right, we have the age criteria listed here. So in this example, we're allowing them to purchase if they're 18 years of age or older as of the date of the transaction, trying to process the transaction.

So pretty straightforward criteria hit save on that, save on the rule is set to a warning by default. So in RecTrac, that gives you the flexibility to override should you need to or inability on WebTrac. If it is warning, there are no overrides on WebTrac. So it will have to meet this criteria. And if they're going to process on WebTrac. We go back to our sets, the next one we want to highlight was a minimum reservation length examples open up that set, and then we'll open up the rule underneath that. So again, I have my description of the rule, I'm allowing the customer to purchase. If and in this example, their criteria is length in hours. So if we open that up, we can see that in order them for them to purchase, they must be more than or equal to one hour in length. So I'll go ahead and save that criteria. And I can apply that as needed. The next rule was minimum maximum days in advance, if you want to enforce those parameters, you can hit change on this one and open up this rule.

So in this example, I'm allowing them to purchase and I've got two criteria, they're both the days from criteria, open this one up here. So I'm allowing them to purchase if it's more than or equal to two days before the item begins. So I wouldn't be able to reserve something for tomorrow, I'd have to do at least two days out in order for the reservation to be valid. And then on the other side of that I'm requiring 365 days, allowing them to purchase out to 365 days from the item begin date. And the last one to highlight is open close times. So open up that set. This isn't always required, because in RecTrac, you can set up your SuperGrid to kind of automatically encompass the open times that you want. And on WebTrac, you can set up time blocks to only encompass and show the time that you want to advertise. But should you want to apply open close times you can see I have my weekday versus weekend hours to highlight this. And I'm allowing them to purchase and I've two criteria listed I have a weekday item weekday and an item time range criteria.

And each one you pick the weekdays that are in the equation. So these my weekdays listed and then my time range for what I want my weekdays to follow so eight to nine on my weekdays. And that will include any overlap. And the only difference on my weekends I have a different timeframe extends out a little bit on the weekend reservations. So this would be an example of open close times that you can apply to your facilities and your reservations. These are set so these can be applied at any linking level that makes sense. They can be the lowest level which is at each individual facility. You can apply these rules as needed, all the way up to the highest level which would be the module level for the facility module if these rules applied to all facilities in your database, and that is an example of four common rules for facilities in RecTrac.
