In this video, we're going to discuss the topic of marking module items as deleted. In every database over time, there are items that are no longer used. And in 10.3, we have the option to mark them as inactive, so they no longer display in the processing screens like global sales and touch Point Of Sale. But in addition, in 3.1, we added the status of deleted and this will give you the extra step of being able to hide it from your management data grids as well as global sales and touch point of sale. So in my example, I'm going to go to facility management. So I'm going to pop out my menu on the left, Type in the word facility, and we're going to select facility management. And in this example, I already have several facilities marked as inactive. So there are already not showing in global sales or in the SuperGrid. But I do see them every time I come to facility management. So by default, we show the statuses of active and inactive in every management grid that can be customized and you could customize it to only show active, you can also mark these records as deleted. So our new status of deleted will automatically hide these records in all my management data grids, and in all data grids across the system. So inquiry reporting grids will also not show the deleted status. So if I truly no longer have these facility records, and there's no point in leaving them and having them in my list that I have to either scroll through or filter through, I can mark them as deleted. If I hit refresh, they'll just disappear from my view. They'll still be available to access. If I need to change my mind I need to go back and reactivate or go back and look at how they were set up. There are still all available but by default, they won't show in all of the different management data grids inquiry, data grids and reporting data grids if they're marked as the deleted status. So that'll be another tool for database cleanup that we can use when and where applicable to improve the user experience.
