Welcome to this fast track video covering trimming app servers and web speed brokers. To do this, you will need admin access to your RecTrac server credentials to the OpenEdge explorer and approximately two minutes of time. Please note that if your database is hosted through Vermont systems hosting services, these steps are taken care of automatically and this video does not pertain to you. We will navigate to localhost 9094. Enter credentials for the OpenEdge explore identify the brokers or app server to trim and then process the trim. So we'll first navigate to this URL on your RecTrac server. Once presented with our login portal, we will enter admin admin if it is default. And then we will select the app server or web speed broker app servers are at the top and web speed is at the very bottom, but the process is identical for both. Click on the app server and then select Server pool control. Change the function from add to trim. Enter the number of PIDs you see in the server pool summary and Click Submit. Verify the results in the blue information box and check your server pool summary you may need to refresh before you see an agent responding. Verify that the started time is recent and that will guarantee that you have trimmed all of your app servers or web speed agents note that if an app server or web speed agent was in a busy or sending state it may not have been trimmed. If you need to retry this simply repeat the process. You can do this as many times as you want to without affecting any of your client connections.
