In this video, we're going to review the application security Profile and setting up two factor authentication in RecTrac. The setup for this is pretty straightforward, I'm going to go to Profile assignments. So I already have that open. And there is a Profile that you might need to add for an application security Type. So again, I've already have one created in my database, I'm just gonna go and open that up so we can review the settings. So the Profile itself breaks down into two different areas. The top area involves whitelisting, or blacklisting IP addresses. So if you want to put in a an allowed IP list range, you can use the whitelist. If you want to block certain IP range, you can use the black list and that is one option available on this Profile.

At the bottom, you can see there's the two factor authentication areas right now by default, it's gonna be set to none. And if we Click on that Pick list, you can see the other option currently available is email. So if you turn on email, then to the right, you can choose how often you want this verification to take place, right? Is it zero for every login, or is it every X amount of days based on the parameter you put in there. So I'm gonna leave it as zero in my example. So now I've turned on email and I can hit Save. And typically, you're going to want to link this application security Profile to the default level in the hierarchy sample expand defaults. In the middle part of the Screen, I'm just going to Click and drag over that Profile to my default profiles. So at this point, if I go to logout and log back in, I'll be presented with a new prompt for two step verification, and just going to Click on my email address. And then I have to wait for that email to come in. And I'll pull that up. But pretty straightforward for what you'd expect, basically just says the authorization code in this example. So I'll just copy that. And I'll paste that in and then I'm logged into RecTrac After doing that verification, and that is a walkthrough of two step verification in RecTrac.
