In this video, we're going to be going over our WebTrac create new household options. So we're going to start up by going into profile management. And in profile management, we have the WebTrac parameters. Profile should be near the bottom since it is alphabetically. We can click on that and then click change. And then when we get into this profile, once this loads up, there's a new household setting area.

So this new/forgotten settings tab or an expand that and this new household option dropdown is kind of the three options we have. So a quick overview of each not allowed is put pretty self-explanatory. You can't create a household from WebTrac, so in that case you're probably just allowing people to create them in person when they visit.

And then live is you can create them on WebTrac, and once somebody creates that, they can use the household right away. So there's no delay or anything like that. Batch is almost kind of in between, between live and not allowed almost. It's allows a little more control so the patron can go on to WebTrac and create a new household.

So, for example, this is my WebTrac page. They can hit don't have an account sign up. Now, just like the live option, you can go in here and create it, but once it gets created, it's going to get put into a batch in RecTrac where you'd have to go in and approve it in RecTrac. So the person that created their house won't be able to use it until that batch has been approved.

So it's just allows for a little more control. So we'll leave it on batch and we'll go over that. So I've already created a household to send to that batch. So to approve of that and RecTrac, we're going to want to go into household management so that can be searched to the menu. And what I like to do here is we’ll switch the look up to family member and that's going to give us the status column.
00:02:08:04 - 00:02:26:37

And if we turn off active and just toggle on the batch status, that's going to show all of our households who have submitted a new household request on WebTrac and it's in the batch status. So these are all the ones that we need to make a decision on if we should approve of the batch household or delete the household.

Maybe they already exist in here and they created the second one. So in this case, let's say I want to approve of it. So I've got it selected. So think maybe you approve of these weekly or monthly. You come in here probably more something like weekly or maybe even daily. So you might have several in here. So I just have one.

So I'm going to click Approve Batch household process complete. So now their household is, so to speak, live where they can log in and actually use it now. So I have nothing left in the batch, so I could probably just go back and look at my active status. So that's the batch option. So I don't think I need to go over the no household option.
00:03:06:25 - 00:03:46:23

That's just pretty self-explanatory there. You can't create one on WebTrac, but the live option, go over that next. It's really just creating a household and then it'll be able to be used. So I switch my new\forgotten settings from batch to live. What that's going to do is when I create a new household in here. So I'll do that real quick test household.
00:03:46:23 - 00:04:14:03

I'm just filling in this information like I'm creating a new household here. We will have to put an email on my situation. I have that required and I confirm email. So once I filled out some of that required info, I can create the household click Save. And so that live option is going to say thank you for registering.
00:04:14:21 - 00:04:32:38

And now I could migrate in and use it. Whereas once I create it, when it's on the batch, it's going to say something along the lines of Thank you for creating an account. Once it's been approved, you will be notified or something along those lines. But the batch status doesn't allow you to get a household right away. It's got to be approved first.
00:04:33:00 - 00:04:39:43

So that's the main difference. Batch is just one extra layer of control and req check. You have to either approve or delete the household.
