Cancel Reservation With Debit Balance Due

Problem
When I cancel a reservation, it puts the item into the cart as $0, when there is a balance due on the reservation. How can I ensure that this balance due is also canceled out?
Solution
From the household's Purchase History, you can Cancel Selected Items to move the item into the shopping cart. If there was a debit balance on the reservation, instead of offering a refund for the reservation, the balance due will be removed from the overall debit balance on the household.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Global Sales.
- From the DataGrid, locate and highlight the household in question.
- Click Select.
- Click on the Purchase History tab.
- From the DataGrid, locate and highlight the reservation.
- Click Cancel > Cancel Selected Items. This will put the item into the shopping cart.
- It will show a $0 balance if nothing was actually paid.
You can now process through the cancellation and their overall debit balance will be reduced by the amount due previously on the reservation.
