Unable to process a credit card sale with PayTrac. Within RecTrac, receiving the message: PIN Pad status is in use.
Error Message
Unable to process transaction PIN Pad status is in use
Solution
Reboot the pin pad.
Steps For Solution
- For most Ingenico models, you can press the # and yellow button to reboot (preferred method).
- For models with a power adapter, unplug from the AC outlet and plug back in.
- Process the credit card sale.
