3.1 Auditing Changes to Household Information

Problem
What is the preferred method for finding out who made changes to a Household, and when they were made?
Solution
Using Audit Log Inquiry, the ID of the household in question can be queired. The results will display the changes made to the household, including the user who made said changes, and the date and time the changes were made.
Steps For Solution
- In RecTrac, search for and go to DB Inquiry.
- Enter SAHousehold in the "Select Table to View" field.
- In the Query field, enter householdnumber = "x", where "x" is the number of the household in question. Include the quotations in the query. Click View
- Scroll to the right until the ID column is visible. Take note of the ID number and exit DB Inquiry.
- Search for and go to Audit Log Inquiry
- In the Detail 2 column, enter the ID number obtained from the DB Inquiry above. Then set the column to "Contains."
- The DataGrid will populate with all records pertaining to the household. You can sort and search by log date, time, and user, etc.
- Sort as needed. Double-click on line items to open them and see details about the changes made.
