Reversing Transactions Processed on Guest Household

Problem
Sometimes a patron requests a refund. However, with their transaction as a daily sale processed on the guest household, how can we refund this transaction easily?
Solution
If the patron has their original receipt/ receipt number, you can easily refund the transaction from Global Sales Purchase History, skipping the Household Lookup to access the daily guest household.
Steps For Solution
- From the RecTrac main menu, go to Global Sales.
- Click Skip > Daily/Guest Household.
- Click on the Purchase History tab.
- From the DataGrid, enter your receipt number in the Current Receipt column and set the filter to equals.
- Highlight the item.
- Click Cancel > Cancel Selected Items.
- Click Refund.
From Payment screen, process the refund as normal.
