3.1 You cannot pay for any of the items in your cart with the selected payment method - RecTrac 3.1
Problem
I am doing a Guest/Daily Sale for a POS Service Item. The patron wants to pay with a check. I cannot complete the sale due to this message:
'You cannot pay for any of the items in your cart with the selected payment method'
Solution
It is likely you have a Payment Code or a Payment Type restriction on the Fee linked to that Service Item.
Go to Advanced Fees Update for the Fee(s) linked to the Service Item.
Expand the Payment Settings group.
If you have Pay Codes and/or Pay Types listed in the Exclude fields, then this is the cause of the message you received. These fields are designed to disallow payment using the Codes/Types entered. There is no Permission that will allow you to override these restrictions. Use the 'i' or '?' Help icons for field descriptions and examples, if needed.
Optionally, you may have Payment Codes and/or Payment Types listed in the Include fields, and your Check Payment Code/Type is NOT included. In this event, payment using Checks will still be disallowed. Use the 'i' or '?' Help icons for field descriptions and examples, if needed.
Investigation will be required:
- If you allow patrons to remit for the Service Item in question using Checks, then you will want to remove the Check Payment Code and/or Payment Type from these fields OR you will want to include the Check Payment Code/Payment Type in the Include fields, depending on your set up. Changes take effect immediately.
- If you DO NOT allow patrons to remit using Checks, then you will want to leave all fields in the Payment Settings group as they are and have the patron use another form of payment.
